Oregon State vs Washington Prediction Tonight
There are some teams that just should not be favored under any circumstances, and unfortunately it’s looking like Oregon State might be one of them.
Just 2-8 in their last 10 games, including only 1-4 in their last 5 as a favorite, I don’t understand why the Beavers are a favorite over a Washington team that’s won 3 of 4 including an impressive win over a good Stanford team their last time out.
The Huskies are hardly a juggernaut, but Oregon State is so bad defensively that it doesn’t matter. Bart Torvik has the Beavers ranked 302nd nationally in 2-point defense, 161st in 3-point defense and 313th in defensive rebounding. Washington will have their chances to score, and plenty of them.
Washington excels at causing havoc and creating turnovers, ranking 10th in the county at defensive turnover percentage. I expect fast-break points in bunches against an Oregon State team that ranks 146th in offensive turnover percentage.
With a struggling defense, a turnover-prone offense and poor recent performances, I don’t believe Oregon State should be favored. Give me Washington +120 to win outright as my best bet of this game.
