Oregon State Soccer Releases 2014 Schedule

The Oregon State soccer team has released the schedule for the upcoming 2014 season. Head coach Steve Simmons and his squad hit the turf August 22nd in Corvallis against Seattle in an exhibition that marks the beginning of the season for Oregon State.

The Beavers will play host to the University of Evansville and Central Florida for the Nike Portland Invitational the last weekend of August for the first two official fixtures of 2014.

Oregon State then travels to Creme City, to take on the home town and 2013 Sun Belt Champion University of Milwaukee and Marquette in the 40th Panther Invitational.

Siena and Duquesne travel to Corvallis September 12-14 to take on the Beavers during the 2014 Oregon State Hensor/Zaher Nike Classic. The tournament, held since 2004, honors student-athletes Stephen Hensor and Joe Zaher who tragically died in 2002.

The following week Oregon State takes on the local ranks, facing University of Portland, Northwest Christian, and University of Seattle in the days leading up to conference play.

The Pac-12 season swings into full tilt with the Beavers hosting Stanford, Cal, and Washington to open the year October 3rd, 5th, and 12th.

The Beavers will then head south for nicer weather and to play the likes of San Diego State and UCLA, October 17th and 19th. The three schools will then all head back to Corvallis to play a series of games October 23rd and 26th on the Beaver’s home pitch.

Finally, the Beavers will finish out the year with three consecutive conference road matches, starting with a November 7th game against Cal.

November 9th and 16th, the Beavers travel to Stanford and Washington to conclude the 2014 regular season.

NCAA championship qualifying takes place from November 20th through the end of the month with the College Cup to be played on December 12th and 14th in Cary, N.C.
