A big game for #11 OSU this weekend as they travel to Palo Alto to take on the #14 Cardinal. Vaz will start and I believe he offers the best chance for victory. There is a certain enthusiasm to Vaz which works well for working through tough stretches. The team respects him as a leader and they seem to all rally together. Alot is on the line and getting a Stanford win is more important than even losing to Washington when you look at how strong Oregon is playing and that they are favorites to be in the National Championship Game. Many writers think an Oregon State vs Nebraska Rose Bowl would be the perfect fit for the 50th anniversary of Terry Baker’s and the Northwest’s only Heisman. Take care of business this Saturday and our charmed season will likely have a fitting end that Beaver Nation will be thrilled about. To the players and coaches I say reach inside yourself, and for this game refuse to lose. Play with a joy knowing that if you really put your heart and mind into this one common goal and take pride in every moment as you forge a determined reality, that in truth it is very attainable and foremost a matter of will and deciding within that it means much more to you and your side. Think about who you love most, and dedicate just this one game for them and don’t let yourselves or your loved one down. I have come back in tennis from 0-5 down before to win sets this way and the fact is when you truely get in this mindset, where you are making sure you value every opportunity, play within yourself and make sure not to make any unnecessary mistakes, you just know on that day you will not be stopped and it is an amazing feeling of focused and moral purpose. Live and cherish your dream…GoBeavs2012!
