Oregon State controlled and dominated most of the action against #19 UCLA in the Rose Bowl from start to finish to pick up another commanding “W”. Besides some difficulty on punching in touchdowns from inside the 10, OSU was the far sharper team and saw big playmaking from Mannion, Wheaton, Cooks, Woods and the entire Oregon State defense. OSU is 2-0 and about the only team to beat two highly ranked teams in very strong fashion. Almost every other team that is ranked has played more cupcakes than anything else. OSU now will expect a Top 20 AP ranking and could go as high as 18th in the nation. Taking UCLA’s #19 ranking is probably most likely. Up next is the Arizona Wildcats and a chance for OSU to reveal themselves as one of the nation’s premier teams in 2012.
